A huge thank you to everyone who helped out at, donated to, came to, and supported the Craft Fair. Despite the last-minute change of venue and the bad weather, we were able to raise almost as much money as last year. It was a wonderful day, and I am working on getting photos up on the website, as well a a few other little additions. I am so appreciative to all of you who help every year to make it such a success. I am so fortunate to have so many good friends and such a great community. The Foundation and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts. This money will go to support the wonderful work they do helping the thousands of people whose lives are affected by bone marrow disease.

Updates on the planning and execution of Catherine's Craft Fair.
Introduction
Catherine's Craft Fair was started in 2000 by then nine year old Catherine. It grew out of Catherine's desire to give to charity by selling crafts fhe had made while recovering from a course of drug therapy intended to treat the aplastic anemia she was diagnosed with at 4 1/2. the first year, $60 and a dozen cans of food went to the local food pantry. The next year, Catherine recieved a bone marrow transplant which finally cured her aplastic anemia. She decided to donate the proceeds of that fair to the Aplastic Anemia and Myelodysplasia International Foundation, which helps patients and doctors fight bone marrow diseases. Since then, Catherine has raised more than $7000 for the foundation with the annual one day fair, which still takes place in her yard! Last year, the fair included live music, cotton candy and popcorn machines, games and craft activites for kids, and hand made crafts for sale, many of them still made by Catherine herself. - I've been running the fair since 2000, with help from my very supportive family and friends. I absolutely love everything about the fair, from writing sponsor letters, to teaching volunteers how to make cotton candy, to counting the proceeds, to writing thank you notes (67 last year!). When I'm not planning craft fairs, I go to school, and I enjoy reading, playing clarinet in the band, and hanging out with friends.
